Nirvana

El 8 de abril de 1994 se encontró sin vida al cantante y lider de la banda Nirvana, Kurt Donald Cobain. Se presume que el cantante y guitarrista de esta banda emblemática de la música de Seattle y del género conocido como “Grunge” se habría quitado la vida 3 días antes, el 5 de abril.

Kurt, quien dijo “Ser famoso es la última cosa que quise ser” encontró la crisis y la muerte a sus jóvenes 27 años, cuando paradógicamente sea había convertido en una famosa celebridad mundial.

Kurt junto a Nirvana fueron piezas claves durante la transformación de la música popular en los 90 a la hora de despegarse de la musica ochentosa, el glam metal y el dance-pop, trayendo un poco del llamado Grunge y de Rock Alternativo. Smells Like Teen Spirit, su canción más famosa, es considerada un himno generacional por muchas autoridades de medios musicales
