The Black Eyed Peas es un grupo estadounidense de R&B, pop y hip hop, seis veces ganador del premio Grammy. Originarios de Los Ángeles, California, el grupo está integrado por Will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo y Fergie.

El grupo ha vendido más de 30 millones y medio de discos y más de 33 millones de singles. The Black Eyed Peas es uno de los once artistas que ha conseguido el número 1 y 2 de Billboard Hot 100 al mismo tiempo. Con 26 semanas consecutivas en el n º 1, el empuje de los Peas ha batido el récord de Usher que estuvo en la cima durante 19 semanas con los éxitos “Yeah!” Y “Burn” en 2004. Conocidos mundialmente por su canción I Gotta Feeling que logró convertirse en la quinta canción más exitosa de la historia musical.

El álbum que los daría a conocer fue sin duda Elephunk, lanzado en el año 2003 junto a una nueva vocalista quien, como atractivo visual y también tratándose de talento, resultó ser lo que impulsó la carrera de la agrupación; se trataba de Stacy Ann Ferguson, más conocida como Fergie, previamente ella formó parte de la no muy exitosa banda femenina llamada Wild Orchid. Originalmente, Nicole Scherzinger (cantante principal de The Pussycat Dolls) estaba prevista para unirse a los Peas, pero declinó en su decisión debido a que aún formaba parte del grupo Eden´s Crush, después presentó a Fergie a los Peas para que participara en la canción Shut Up, pero debido a su gran poder vocal Will.I.Am se interesó en ella para que grabara otras cinco canciones. Finalmente para el año 2003, Fergie ya era integrante oficial del grupo.
